Who is ready for Fall? I know I am. As much as I love the warm summer months, nothing really compares to the
sweet crisp air of Fall, and all that it brings. Yes, like almost every other Pinterest lover, I am a huge sucker for
Fall – but can you really blame me??
The time for everything apples, pumpkins, butternut squash, halloween themed, etc., is approaching. So why
not start off with one of this seasons signature dishes – Apple Crisp!
Going apple picking? Have bunches and bunches of apples that you want to turn into some yummy apple
desserts? Start off with this delicious apple crisp.
This dish is one of my favorites, but I also remember how sugary it can be! Since my family and I had started
cutting out sugar and gluten this year, I have felt so much better! So I really wanted to come up with an apple
crisp recipe that doesn’t use gluten and uses natural sweeteners.
I was more than pleased at the end results of this recipe! I say this as honestly as I can, this apple crisp is one of
the best tasting treats I have ever made! People I have shared it with were actually shocked to find out just how
healthy it is.
The natural sweeteners I used were local honey, and local 100% pure maple syrup – nothing else. I highly
recommend looking around your town to find some local raw honey and local maple syrup. Not only does it
taste better, but they are better for you (they help with seasonal allergies!). I just hope you all enjoy this sweet
signature fall favorite as much as I do!
Put on your comfy fall sweaters, and enjoy this apple crisp warm while pairing it with vanilla ice-cream, or
drizzle a little organic heavy whipping cream!
